What’s this all about?

What’s the purpose of this site? In 1996, after a night of enjoying the courtesy of the University’s ‘Mandela’ bar and a day of classes where we were introduced to HTML, a bunch of us decided to check if the UK domains aligned to our surnames were available. With the magic of an old 486DX running Windows 95, on the University network, we quickly discovered only one was available, my own and I quickly registered it. So, for the cost of a heavily subsidised pint of beer, I registered my domain (this one) and promptly did nothing with it. For years, apart from sporadic updates, the site mostly collected digital dust while I dutifully paid the renewal fee. Now, I’m revamping the site to finally give my corner of the internet a little attention.
